Just Property is proud to celebrate 25 years of helping people build wealth through property. Since its founding in 2000 as Just Letting, the company has grown from a single office into a well-established, trusted national brand with more than 118 franchises across Southern Africa, including operations in Namibia and, most recently, in Zimbabwe.
Over the years, the business has developed a strong reputation for innovation, client service, and talent development. Paul Stevens, who joined the business as a franchisee in 2001 and became CEO in 2014, reflects on the journey as both a personal and professional milestone.
“Every property rented, bought or sold through our network is a moment of real significance for someone,” says Stevens. “We have never lost sight of the fact that property enables people to build a better future. We are proud of how far we have come and focused on growing our impact.”
Building an international presence
In November 2024, Just Property expanded into Harare. This followed the successful launch of offices in Windhoek and Swakopmund and marked the company’s third international location. The move is aligned with its strategy to offer property services and franchise opportunities across Africa and beyond.
Harare has a dynamic property market and strong economic potential,” says Stevens. “This expansion allows us to bring our systems and service model to more landlords, tenants, buyers and investors across Southern Africa. We want to help more people unlock the wealth potential of property, whether that wealth is financial, emotional or generational.”
Investing in talent
One of the most important factors behind the company’s sustained growth has been its focus on people. The launch of the Just Property Training Academy has created opportunities for agents, franchisees and administrative staff to develop their skills through structured, industry-relevant training.
“The property industry is always evolving, and our people need to evolve with it,” says Stevens. “The Academy is not only about compliance. It is about delivering service excellence and helping our people grow as professionals.”
The Just Property Academy uses a gamified learning approach where participants are rewarded with badges, certificates and recognition for completing courses, which drives engagement and a healthy sense of competition. This not only encourages continuous growth but also directly translates into improved client service, higher productivity, and better results. Franchise owners report that they are more confident in hiring intern agents, knowing they can be onboarded effectively through the Academy’s programmes.
Many of the company’s top performers started with limited experience and built their careers through the support provided by Just Property. This culture of growth and support contributes to a consistent client experience and helps reinforce the company’s brand values.
Technology that empowers people and performance
Just Property’s commitment to growth is reinforced by its continued investment in leading technology. Every member of the network, from new candidates to experienced principals, has access to advanced tools that enhance performance, improve efficiency and support long-term success.
The company’s approach to training integrates innovative digital platforms with in-person workshops and mentorship. This blended model ensures that agents not only stay up to date with regulatory changes and market trends but also gain hands-on experience with tools that reflect the demands of modern real estate.
“Our agents have access to cutting-edge technology that streamlines the entire process,” says Paul Stevens. “From lead generation to client engagement, the systems we use help our teams work smarter and deliver better service.”
AI-driven marketing, detailed administrative workflows, and intuitive client relationship platforms are just some of the tools available. These resources reduce time spent on routine tasks and free up agents to focus on what matters most: building relationships and closing deals.
In a competitive and fast-moving environment, the right technology makes all the difference. Just Property’s focus on digital enablement is helping agents differentiate themselves in the market and giving clients the seamless experience they increasingly expect.
Looking ahead
As Just Property celebrates this anniversary, it is also preparing for the future. The company plans to continue expanding its footprint, enhancing its technology capabilities and supporting its network through leadership and innovation.
“When we invest in our people, we are investing in the future of property around the world,” says Stevens. “We are building a business that is designed to last. Our mission of Creating Wealth Through Property continues to guide every decision we make.”
